What is the Nurture Neuroscience Practitioner Program?

This program is a comprehensive, science-based training designed for professionals and aspiring practitioners who want to support parents and babies using the latest neuroscience research.

The certification is built upon The Nurture Revolution, a book endorsed by Hilary Swank, Uma Thurman, Mayim Bialik, Raffi Cavoukian, and leading child development experts including Dr. Beatrice Beebe and Dr. Tina Payne Bryson.

Meet Your Facilitators

Greer Kirshenbaum, PhD

Greer is a neuroscientist, author, educator, infant and family sleep specialist, doula and mother. She trained at the University of Toronto, Columbia University, Yale University, and New York University. Her mission is to create a world of nurtured babies, nurtured parents and better mental health for all.

Program Facilitator

Their work with mothers is Compassionate Inquiry-Informed and both have trained in The Portal: Perinatal Training from Compassionate Inquiry.

Rocio Zunini, PhD

Rocio is a neuroscientist, infant and family sleep specialist and mother of two. She trained at the University of Ottawa, and worked several years as a researcher at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language in Spain. Her mission is to bring brain development science into the world of parents so that they can apply it and experience its life changing effects.

How the Program Works

Program Duration: April - November 2026 (Break in August)

Weekly Time Commitment: Approximately three hours per week (or self-paced with a two-year completion option)

Learning Structure:

  • Recorded Learning Modules: Released every two weeks for self-paced study

  • Live Classes: Biweekly, interactive sessions on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST

  • Small Group Practice: Weekly peer discussions to integrate and apply course material

Criteria for certification

  • Attend all classes or watching all the recordings

  • Reading all the manuals

  • Read all provided safe sleep resources

  • Read, The Nurture Revolution book, and 5 mandatory books

  • Write a case study of a 1-1 sleep consultation

  • Lead a 12 week Pregnancy Circle or a Mom and Baby

  • Circle with a minimum of 2 participants

  • Complete all requirements within 24 months from the last day of the program

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How much time will this take?

The program is designed to be completed in six months with live classes every other week, small group meetings, and independent study. Participants should expect to dedicate approximately three hours per week, but you have up to two years to complete the certification at your own pace.

What happens once I enroll?

You will receive confirmation of your enrollment and gain access to orientation materials. The program officially begins in April 2025.

Is the program live or pre-recorded?

The program follows a hybrid model, with pre-recorded lessons for self-paced study and live interactive sessions. All live sessions will be recorded for those who cannot attend in real time.

Will I receive support during the program?

Yes. You will have access to support from Dr. Kirshenbaum and Dr. Zunini, a peer discussion group, and a community of fellow practitioners.

Can I teach the material after completing the certification?

Yes. Graduates are certified to teach classes, lead groups, and offer one-on-one sessions using the official Nurture Neuroscience curriculum. However, the material cannot be rebranded or resold under a different name.

Do I need prior experience to enroll?

No. This program is open to both professionals and those who are new to working with parents and babies. The course provides all the tools and knowledge needed to begin.

What is the refund policy?
